LEGO Solo A Star Wars Story

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

On the season 3 premiere of Brickology, LegoLee329 flies deep into the history of the LEGO set based off Solo A Star Wars Story and recounts the muddled history of the films troubled production.

That goes along way to supporting my accounts and all that I am doing here. So if youreally love me, maybe consider subscribing or supporting me on Patrionnow, Ou further do let's jump into the topic for this week's episode ofBricology and if you're, a longstanding fan of the show. You know that myseason, one premier, the premier episode first ever episode of hispotcast, was about Lego, starwars episode. One sets from the PHANTO minusthe premier for season too was stuffed from Lego, starwards episode to attackof the clones. Now I mixed up the chroological order cause. I did theKLOMWORS episode episode Fort Bricology, which is still to this day my moststrained episode of this potcast Bu. I did the clone wars episode when theclomwars new season came out back in February, so I had to mix up a littlebit and I kind of broke the craletical order there. But since then, we've beendoing starwards episodes in chronological order that they happen inthe films and TV shows so we're to Continu ocrological order. I do wishthat I had you know already done the episode three episodes. I co continuedsaying the premier season. Three is starwars episode three, but I alreadydid the episode three episode last season. ' It means the next film andChronological Order. Four Star Wars is so low, a star wars story. So the nextfew starwarts episodes of bricology are going to be kind of those weird bridgesbetween the original trilogy and the Prequal Trilogy. So we're going to dosolo we'll be doing rogue one and Star...

Wars: rebels, O those are going to bethe next few episodes for bricology themed on star wards. In, like the lasttwo seasons, there will be two star wards: episodes US seasonof bychology.I know star wards makes up a big chunk of my fan base, so I think doing twentypercent total. My episodes of bicology about star wards is fair. I don't wantto do too much. Starwards tit is a Legoo potcastit's on a star wards podcast, so I don't want to spam too much star wars, but there will be twostarwards episodes of bricology this season, and that means we have to starttoday. Wat talking about stuff based off the Lego sets based off the moviesolow a star wars story before it gets started. I apologize if the airconditioning is making way too much background noise. Normally I turn offthe AC while recording bricology, because I don't want ther to be backround noise, but it's liteally, like ninety eight degrees outside right now.Turning out the AC means, I'd trytl be melting, Turin, this episot ofBricologi, so the AC will stay on. Hopefully I can edit that out, butthere might be a little too much background noise efor this week'sepisode, but for their Du. Let's start talking about the history of so low aSTARWR story NDRCOLOGY. I always do this. I give little history lessonsabout what I'm out to talk about and, of course, Star Wars had loss ofhistory. Every Star War's film has a ton of stuff that goes into the filmgetting produced, but no star worst film, in my opinion, has quite thehistory so low a star war story. Does this movie's history is so bizarre andweird and different, and I'm excited to talk about it and cannot tell thisstory from my perspective and some of the mistakes that were made that endedup in this movie being somewhat of a disaster from certain points of view.So let's talk about that right now, we'll start off by talking about DisneyBuying Lucas Film in two thousand and twelve. Obviously I think all of usknew that happen. BDISNEY Spen, I think, like over four billion dollars, payingGeorge Lucas for Lucas Film and they announce that they're going to make newstars movies, a New Star Wars trilogy starting in two thousand and fifteen. Now, speaking of twent y fifteen, that was the year that they also announcedthat they were going to make spin off star wars movies they announced, Ibelieve it was like March Twenty fifteen remember. I was on spring breakwhen they announced it. So it was March Twenty fifteen. They announced they'regoing to do these spin off films and they announced that the first thin Ifilm was going to be Rogueuan about you know: stealing the death star plans, the rogue one episode of Bricology will occur in the future. That should be, ifI'm fall in the correct pattern: the season four premier of bricology. So wewon't talk much about Rog once today, but Ruan was the first ever starwar'smovie that wasn't part of a trilogy. It was its own standalone story. Theysince gave them these subtitle a star war story, Kan of a weird thing: I'mnot really sure why they chose that particular venacular for it. It soundsvery odd if you ask me, but that's just what they call them. So it's rogue one,a star war story and they announced a couple o years later that the next starwar story would be so low a star war story. Technically speaking, thet nameForsola wasn't announced until like late, two thousand and seventeen earlyO twoend a eighteen rememor correctly, but we knew we were getting a Han, solow, spinoff prequal film about a young Hansolo in his early twenties beforethe events of the original trilogy and the Sequel Trilogy. Now the developmentof so low is really weird. This is a very complicated history that I amabout to get into so so lo, the directors they hired to make this moviewere Phil, Lord and Chris Miller. A directing do well now, if you recognizethoses names, even if you're not you know a big movie thing, you don'tfollow this sort of thing. You might recognize those names as a Lego Fan,because these are the guys that directed and wrote the original legomovie. The Lega movie from two thousand and fourteen was made by Phil Lord andChris Miller. They also did cloudy with the chance of meat balls in like twothousand and nine. I believe they did twenty one and twenty two jump Streetin twenty twelve and twent an fourteen respectively, and they are also heavilyinvolved with the more recent spiderman...

...into these spider verse. So these guysknow what they're doing. I would say that their geniuses, some little fact Ibelieve it was Phil. Lord actually went to college at Dartmouth, which is anIvy League school, very good school. With my high school precalculus teacher,Weird funfact, so Phil Lord went to college itmy teachers from High SchoolTangent over these guys are really good directors and really dutid writers. Nowthey were more known for comedy and doing things that are kind of Zanei anda lot of animated stuff as well. They weren't really know for their liveaction stuff, but even though you know they did do twenty one point two jumtree, but those are rounchy comedies, but even though they weren't reallysuperexperienced in the field of doing like a blockbuster movie like Star Wars,I was still superhyped that they were announced as ha directors. For thismovie, because one the Lega movie is one of my, like top twenty fa movies ofall time, every other mood they've done has been good like pretty much everyproject they touch seems to be really good, and I had utmost faith that thesetwo were going to make a great film and then in two thousand and seventeen. Itwas like, I think, July, on summer, two thousand and seventeen at some point.Phil Lord and Chris Miller got fired from directing solo a star war story. Now directors getting fired off movies is not super weird. It happens a decentbit, especially with blockbuster style films. Star Wars has had a lot. UFdirectors get fired, Garre, Edwards, apportely Kano got fired midway throughprotection of Roan, they fired Calin Shravaro from directing episode nine. They also fire just shrank from doing one of the spin off movies. I mean star.Wars has fired a lot of directors under Disney's regime and Catholen Kennedy aspresident. That's a whole another thing that could probably make an entireepisode o this about just complaining about how horrible star Wards isproduced right now, but Phil Ordan Christmiller. They were fired and youknow it's one thing like Calinshevar was fired, but he was fired beforeproduction episode not even began. He was working on a script and he wasfired a few years in advance. It wasn't like a huge deal that he was fired.Phil, Lor and Christ Miller were reportedly eighty percent. Eightypercent of the way through filming solow a star Rar story and were lessthan a year, O mood from the released state in two thousand and eighteen andthey're fired now. That is very bizarre. That does not happen usually andusually, if you're, that far into production, you just finish production. You either bite the bullet and keep the dectors of O ress of production, thenkind of cut ties of them afterwards or you have like a second. You knowdirector or somebody step in briefly and finish up the scenes, and then youjust you, know kind of cut your losses and release that that's not what theydid was so low a star war story. They actually hired veteran directorRonhoward now ronhoward he's made some bad movies here and there, but he'salso you know he want an Oscare producting a beautiful mind. He didApollo Thirteen. He hid a movie called a rush, tw housand and thirteen, whichis about formula an racing starn Chris Himsworth and Daniel Bruwl. That is afabulous movie. If you have not seen rush, I would highly recommend watchingthat film Ronhoward is a seasoned veteran director, so they hired run howor to direct the rest ofsolo, but they did some major reshoot on solo and Ibelieve, somenl, like eighty five percent or so of the movie, wasultimately reshot and rottenhoward actually got full directing credit.Forsolo, Lord and Miller were still listening. The credits as writers forthe film, but ultimately ronhaward was the only person credited as a directorof for so oastror story. I know there's a weird thing with like the FilmAssociation, where you have to direct a certain pecentage of a movie to getfull Dirk and credit and Ron Howard did that amount of Solo and the reasonsLord of Miller were fired, were...

...apparently they're, making it too funny. It was going off the rails and the way they're directing Alan Aranrac, whostars as Honselo in the film which just wasn't working n people hated it and itwas terrible. I don't know how much of that is true. I would have loved tohave seen their version of the film the version we got I'll talk about here.Ind just a second, was still pretty good, but ultimately it wis jus kind ofthis weird cluster Forsolo and it was a very troubled production and now, let'sjump forward to the release of the movie in May of two thousand andeighteen solike, I just said Sola was released in May now may was theoriginal release month for Star Wars. The original six stas movies were allreleased around the same time in May usually around Memorial Day weekend. However, after a delay for episode, seven Disney Ness had to releaseepisode seven in December of two thousand and fifteen, then rogue oneand episode eight also came out in December and they were making billionsof dollars on each film December was turning out to be a very profitablerelease date for star wards, but Sola went back to starwor's roots and wasreleased on in May of two thousand and eighteen to the first film sinceepisode O Three To be released in May, and at also means that we had two starwars: Movies released in theaters in a six month, time frame, because the lastJedi was released in December of two thousand and seventeen just six monthsearlier. And of course, the last DA is a very infamous movie someday I'll. DoAn episode about Lego, Star Wards and the LASTID and I'll give my fullthoughts on that film then bless yet. I obviously wasn't super well received byStar warse fans and I think people had the combination of the last Shet. Iwasn't good and were kind of fatigued of so much star, War's content thatthere was definitely a star wars fatigue going into so low and it cameout very soon after the last Sedi and then Disney approached marketing for solow very strangely they made a decision that they did not want the marketingfor the last Sedi and for Solo to overlap, which one doesn't make a wholelot of sense. To me. ECAUSE Disney has all these marble movies that alwayshave marketing that overlap with one another. So I'm not really sure whattheir thought process was there, but they didn't mark it so low until thelastaday had come out and was pretty much out of theatres. The first trailerfor Solo was not released until superbowl Sunday in two thousand andeighteen. This was a full three and a half months, just three and a halfmonths before the release of the film. To put that into perspective, the firsttrailer for the last Jedi came out in April of two thousand and seventeenabout eight months before that movie was released. It is kind of ridiculousto me. It seems like they easily could have made a trailer for Solo andattached that to the last Sid I, which couldhave you know Yo know marketedpeople seeing the last Ye. I an AE been a fool of six months when mebecomes out,and I think most people understand that solo is a precol not connected to thelast yeday in really any way. So I don't really understand the thoughtprocess there, but all of these components that are talked abouttrouble production, weird marketing, released star warks fatigue, lasat, itjust wasn't very good, came together and made solo a star war story, humongous box office bomb. This movie made less than four hundred milliondollars worldwide on a budget of about two hundred million and the way thatmovies make is usually it's considered. You need to double up your budget tobreak even with this kind of film because of all the money they spend onmarketing in things of that sort. So, ultimately, so low lost Disney a ton ofmoney. It's a huge box office bomb and Disney kind of lost their confidence inthe Star War Spinos after this they'd actually cancelled pretty much anyfuture. A star war story films because of how badly Solo bought that's a realthing. They had a movie James Mangell...

...was producing or directing supposed todirect a Boba fet movie. That was announced and there's also obe. Onemovie, that's now, but turn into a Disney plus show, or so we're stillkind of getting that. But all these reported spit offs have just beencancelled because of how badly so low performed and the solow toys alsoperformed pretty poorly as well. They sat on shells, people weren't buyingthem, they weren't superpopular, and that includes the legosets. A legosetsdidn't sell, superwell they'e, never superhard to find, and you couldprobably still find them at some local places as well, and we might not eversee more sets from this film like for Real. This might be the only time weever see solo sets. I could see Lego remaking, something like the CASSLRamellinium Falcon at some point in the future. But for the time being, we'renot going to get any more solosets or products based off so low a star worsstory, and before I talk about the set, I think I should share my own personalopinions on the film I went into this movie because of all that productionissues with very low expectations. My expectations were incredibly incrediblytampered because of all the issues. I had very low anticipation for thismovie and the movie was definitely better than I thought I saw it fourtimes in theatrs and it was a really enjoyable movie, a very entertainingstar wars story, and I was really impressed with Aldan Ernrech, thestarved, the movie who played Hansalo. I mean this guy had to step into theshoes of one of the most iconic characters in film history played byHarrison. Ford and Andis does not simply replace Harrison. Forty, hedidn't replace Harrison. Ford he'll, never be as good as Harrson Ford, buthe was able to capture the essence of the Hansolo character, all while notdoing a Harrison Ford impression, I was really impressed with Automaranraerformants in this film. I was also impressed with the plot: It was a funhise plot, with a lot of really cool scenes and overall, an enjoyable movie.I had some issues with the film the lighting in the movie. Rodhaward iskind of known for some dim lighting and he kind of brought that to this Sim aswell. The lightning is really bad. It's like liteally just hard to see some ofthe things that are happening in the scenes. I ALSA was not a big fan ofDonald glovers Lando. I love Donold Glover I' recently eveen watching theshow community dol glover is great in that show, although to me donallglovers performance as Lado. This is kind of a hot take. Most peopledisagree with this opinion, but he seemed like he was doing a Billy dWilliams impression and not really bringing his own flare to the character. So I personally didn't love donal Glover's performance in this film andhis droid sidekick. L Three is one of the most annoying droids N, hischaracters and all the starwards. I thought she was pretty awful and in themovie had some dumb things to explain things. You know kind of like peopledidn't like the explanation of the forest being midiclorians in theprecools. The way they explained things like Hansolo's name was so stupid. Thatwas just so so dumb. There were some ritly eye rolling moments like that inthe film, so not everytime. The movie was great, but overall, I think it wasan enjoyable movie in a solid star wars story and definitely not offensivelybad, and I don't think it deserved to bomb in the way it did. But those aremy personal thoughts about Solo and the history of Solo out of the way we cannow finally jump in to talking about the legosets based off this fill solega released five sets based off so low in April of two thousand andeighteen about a month before the movie was officially released now for theprevious three Disney stars movies and for the Righter Skywalker last year. They did these big launches in a events they called force Friday, where storesopened up at midnight, you could go to the store and get the stuff at first onfore Friday. That did not happen for so...

...low Disney didn't seem to care theydidn't mark at the Soli toys at all. There was no force Friday. There wasnothing special about the release of these, so Lo toys, it was veryunceremonious and the wave is kind of small. It's a very interesting wave.Five sets and a lot of the sets are very small sets and we'll talk aboutthem here now. The first set from Solo, a Sarwor story, Woll talk about is theimperial patrol battle pack. I find it very interesting. There was a battlepack in this wave. They've done a battle pack for every New Star War'smovie. That's just contradition! At this point, however, the battlepacksfor all the other movies has been in a follow up second wave, but the firstway for solo got a battle pack. This was a fifteen dollar set that hadninety nine pieces, and these figures included were an imperial patroltrooper got two of those utthe brand new helmet mould. You also got animperial officer and you got an imperial immigration officer. Now theimperial immigration officer is supposed to be the one that kind ofkeeps Hansalonkira from going through the gate. At the beginning of the film. It's not a very accurate figure to her appearance in the movie, but she istitled as an Imperial Immigration Officer. The Bild for this set here wasthe imperial patrol speeder, and this is actually a really accurate bill tothe speeder that we see in the movie. It looks a lot like the thing seen inthe film, and this is weird most of the time with battlepacks Leckaes makesomething up: Man. They just make up a vehicle for this one. They actuallybase it off, something that appears in the movie. So this served as a battlepack, but also just served as a pretty solid small set of getting a vehiclethat is seen in the film which I really appreciate, making this actually areally good small set, and they don't really make you Kn W. Fifteen dollarsize lego sets anymore. So it's a breadth of fresh air to see a set kindolike that. Even though did have the battle pack logo and all that you knowkind of like title, it still was different enough, and I do like thatabout this, set the next step, Frin, the line for thirty dollars and threehundred and forty five pieces is Han Solo's land speeder. This had includedHonsalo and exclusive varia Wearino his white kind of camoflage fast fromCoreli. That was a really cool varint of the figure to GE and all thehonsalifigures in this Wav used the relatively new at the timehansolaharrpiece with the part in the middle, very cool, harpiece alsodn thatse, you got Kira a the first version of her wer going to see. This is AmeliaClark, the actress from Gameo throne. He plays narrs and game a thrones. Thiswas her character and she had a nice brand new, shorter hairpiece thatlooked really cool, and you also got a Coralean hound here, who will also seeand the next set from the sline, which was one weird, looking pece they madefor that creature from the movie The buill of this set. You only got onebuild and that was Hansolo speeder. It's a dark blue speede, with somewhite accents, two seats towards the back, really great interior. They hadlots of control, there's like a throttl. All these control to seats are reallywell built up and there was a lot of storage space on this thing as well. You could lift off the entire hood to store some springte launchers. Doactivate the extra ones because there were one on the bottom of this speeder. There was like some injun detail: Space O store their weapons as well, and atthe back you could pull a small little crate to store what was supposed to behyperful. Fuel Quie. claxium. Sorry is a Hardhard to sin: Quak Queaxium, quaxium, quaxhim Clakin, it's a hard work to say an a progame morethroughout this review and additionally, this thing also had wheels on thebottom. So it looked like it was hovering and you could roll around forplayability. This was a fantastic set, a seriously great set. It's reallyaccurate to the film. It has a great design. It was a good pricerpiece, allaround a fantastic set for forty dollars with four hundred and sixtyfour pieces. Another good pricer piece is molacs land speeder, the figuresincludend with the set where Molock, who is an alien from the film- and thiswas, I believe, the first Lego set to featured the new dress piece beforeleggajust used a simple slopepiece as a...

...dressed piece. But this was a brand newdresspiece. That's the same link as tha normal monnifig legs before chctersthat were dresses were actually a little bit taller, because these SLPpiece wasn't the same size as many fig legs and it has the normal Legomini figattachment to their legs. So a new dresspiece from molock. You also gothis psychic character, rebolt holding a Black Indiana Jone's whip, and he gottwo corrulian hounds the same piece that we saw in the last set. The buildThas set here was just molock speeder, a really big, ugly, grey speeder thathad a six stubshooter towards the front and also had like a cage for theCurlian House, which was accurate to what we saw and the film there was acockpit fror mock. That was really deep, so you could put molock in there evenwith his dress piece and his ability to not be able to sit down because he hada dresspiece on and there were stores in the back. You could pull t littlething: the head storage for some weapons and some bones for the curlianhounds, and this one also had wheels on the bottom, Sok Coul chase aroundHonselo speeder and sticking up chasing around you had this set the Hansolospeeder set and the battlepeck set. You could now recreate the Crelia speederchase from the beginning of the movie. All through these sets kind of wenttogether to make not superexpensive would have been what eighty fivedollars total little chase scene. I think that's really cool. All thesesets are pretty good values. They had good figures, good plaability and theylooked like the vehicles from the movie very respectable, set to kick off thisline of so low toys. Now the next set is the imperial TI fighter. This was aseventy dollar set with five hundred and ninety pieces, big oof on thepricer piece right there. The figures in this set were great. You got asimple ty, figter pilot, which is expected. You got a Mimban stormtrooper that actually had a new helmet, mold, very cool, looking storm trooper,an its kind of grey and has camouflage you also got Hansolo in his mud.Trooper disguise he had a very nice looking helmet piece wit goggles on thetop. I wish she had a verycually put his goggles down, but it still lookedvery cool and he had a cool piece on the back for his Cape. The nambandstormthipper also used, and you also got tobyis Beckett, woode Haralson'scharacter from the film and his imperial disguise from mimben greatselection of figures for what otherwise is literally just a tyefighter. Nowtiefighters are great. I love tifighters and I think Lego shouldalways try to strive to have some form of tifighter on the market, but at thesame time I have lots of tifighter an I get like a new lego type fegter everyyear. It seems it wasn't super exciting to get a new tyefighter set, but thedesign of this set was really good and the first time e got the classicimperial tyfighter from the original trilogy with the new tyfeter cockpitpiece. They release in two thousand and fifteen to coincide with these setsfrom the forceawakends and star wars rebels, so good set over all it's justa little bit boring and it's the only steff in this line. That was somethingthat was just like, not new whatsoever, speaking of not really being new. Thebiggest SEF in this line, of course, is the castle run Millennium Falcon. Nowthe money of Falcon has been drilled into the Gra Lego released ONETOnineteen, the catnberwe're talking about CCOZIN eighteen, the UCS versioncame out. Twenty seventeen, a version from the fourcovickens, came out tothem fifteen since they started making set space oft the new Disney era, Starwords: They had made so m many millinium Falcons and it's getting veryeppetitive and I sincerely hope they don't make another one foor at least afew years now, but the caseemelion Falcon is a bit different and we'lltalk about why and just a second but first, of course the price was a bigoof one hundred seventy bucks, that is, that is not good price. The last moneyin factin from foursicand just three years prior, was one fifty, so thatprice jump was definitely not ideal. This ait had fourteen hundred andfourteen pieces, nice peace, Cou, Bu, notgeda grate of a Pece Count for eightone hundred and seventy dollars set the...

SETTO had a fanastic line up of minifigures. You Got Hansolo in his brow jacket. This was an exclusive variantto this. Sei is kind of the outfit that he was known for from the Films O.Definitely a desirable version of the character to get there is twobachinclude this set, which I believe is the only figure and Thet said: That'snot exclusive. Well, actually, it might have been. No, it is ecause of shibakheactually had e Branne MOLCASC. He had two different Bendiliers, I'm sorryeaid up Jibacca was different and exclusive to the set. You also got Kiraand a different outfit in a different hairpiece. Hi was exclusive to this. Hewas actually used a reppery Lik, a friend's hairpiece, which isinteresting. You Got Donald Glovers, Lando Calrisian Young Landa wascompletely exclusive to this set Lego, loves putting Lando and hard to getlikeo set. For some reason. He s always seems to be an expensive one. Like theepisode, nine version of Lendo only came ind, the Liniam Falcon as well. Healso got Kuay tolsite, who was one of the people from the crime syndicate onCastle very cool, looking figure with a brand new mould for his how man he hada very interesting guld printed face underneath his helmet. You got a testleoperations, joi that was jus kind of a redgroid, and you got D D bd, which wasa kind of ASTROMEC gancdroid. Looking combination that used the leconinjagoskeleton leg pieces in a different color, which is a very interestingfigure. All these figures, though, were fantastic, great designs, great details, pretty much all ebclusive to this set awesome figure line up and, of coursethe build is the castle run Millennium Talkin itself, and this Falcon isdifferent from the versions we see in other movies, simply because it iswhite and Balue. It's supposed to be Lando's, Pristin linium Falcon with anew paint job. It's like the Pristine Falcon. It's the brand new Falcon. It'ssupposed to look different from the virgins from the original trilgen, theseqel Trilego, which is like the run down Falcon, and it also still featuresthe escapepot at the front of Thet. Obviously little platpoint in the movie, when they're being kind of pulled into that Gravitywell, they have to launchthe escape put off, which explains or the Falcon's front look like it does inthe original trilogy and it's a pretty col design. But it's the same designthat had been used for the Tison for fifteen version and the twenty elevenvurger an introduced to the two housand and four verds n, the Ilnian Faltaon, where it has te like pizza slice. Ho People call them the pizza size panelsthat fold up on the top of the Falcon to reveal the interior, and it makesfor a lot of gaps at the top of this ship. So it's a design that was prettygood. That lego did actually change until the Nineteen Falcon, thankfully, but at the same time it was still a cool thing. It was still a cool set toget, and this set was voted on by my fans on Anstogram as the best set fromso low a starwar story, not really surprised but t as the best head, because it's the digget set people love getting the biggest thing from themovie and it's a cool set and I do enjoy having this SA had a lot of fun.Building this set and a member, it's just a bad price. It was a really badprize and defiinly, not. I didn't, feel comfortable spending. One hundred andseventy bucks on a castle ro millinium Falcon, but it was still a good setthat came with a fantastic selection of many figures, so that's it for theinitial wave of so low a star war story sets, but there actually was a followup way of just a few months later in August of two thousand and eighteen, when the normal kind of summer sets come out for Lego, Star Wars and threenew solo sets were released in that way, the first of those being the thirtydollar three hundred and fifty five piece cloud riders, swoopbike set. Thefigures included with this set were empyes nest, a very interestingcharacter from the film with a rand new helmet mold. You also got these psychicmphs nest play by work, Davis in the FIM oiselle very interesting characteras well who's supposed to be the same character. Work Davis played in theFANTON MINUUS an time. Those two movies together and you also got TobiasBeckett Wutd. He Harrelson's character at this time was his normal albet. Hewears the movie, not the imperial disgis. We saw in the tifhigter set thebuild of this cthere are two bills of...

...the set were two separate speedersemphas nest had a speeder that was long and had a big fan at the back in oneseat. For that character they had a really cool color scheme of kind ofgrays, tans, blacks and dark reds. At looked like a very cool color scheme, forrd these speeders and then Wezell speeder actually had a side car verycolooking speeder. Even though there was no figure to put in Tha side cart aside. Car still was there and it was a cool. Looking speeder bike both ofthese swot bikes looked very cool. It was a good design and it was a greatvalue for thirty dollars. You couldn't really get much better of a value thanthis set. The next set, which was not a good value, was these six hundredtwenty two piece imperial conves transport that retailed for ninetybucks and actually, I believe, about seventy thet pieces included with thatset were shreads, which makes the peace count seem even worse. This was areally horrible value, but this set was a set that I really wanted to be good, and then I got it and it just wasn't that good and it's definitelydisappointing set because it one of the more membal parts on the movie, butwe'll talk about the figures, Weret wit the Bild here. First, the figuresincluded this set were hants so low, and this was the virgin of Honsolowearing goggles, and you also got Chubaka whereing goggles printed on thetubaccapiece, both really cool exclusive varents of these charactersavailable and just this set. You also got the imperial gunner, who literallywas not in the movie. This imperial gunner does not appeer in the film sokind of a weird inclusion there, and you got two different versions of therange trooper which is kind of like the new Marketable Storm Trooper from thismovie. It's like a storm trooper with a lot of like icy gear on and very heavymagnetic boot O can kind of stuck on the side of the emperocanbacs. Thosefigures did both look very cool and had a very cool kind of like shoulderpolder in piece and a nice new helmet mould on the build for this set. Wasthe conveyax train, the Conveyix in the movie? I'm not really entirely sure whythe imperials use trains, it's kind of a weird thing. I don't really feel like. You need trains when, like you know, spaceships and speeders exist, butwhatever I digress, they have a train that goes tough, these icy mountainsand it made for a very cool high sequence in the movie, but the trainLega designed it just wasn't accurate man, it wasn'nd it was not a very gooddesign. First Ta, it's an inaccurate dark, great color, from what I can tellthe movie. That train looked very light great to me, so I'm not sure why 'Likei bilt it in dark gray. Now the main Cartalego Virgin has these bigtreads going through it and the one the second car that Lego had wheels on thebottom, so it could roll around, which is a cool play feature, but in themovie the train is on tracks and the tracks are like double sider. Sothere's one car on top and kind of one car in the bottom, and it kindof goeson these tracks, like that. So there's like parallel mirrored versions of thecars in the movie, but the Lego verghenist came with the top one andnot the bottom one and I'm not sure how they would design that and if Iwouldave had to havebeen any very expensive ses. I kindoget kind of thedecisions they made here, but ultimately it just was not accurate tothe film and it doesn't look very good and it did not help that this was sucha bad value. Now the secondary car had some storage for the calaxium. I thinkI said it right that time and the back- and you also had some places to putyour mini figures in the first car, had a cockpit for a couple of figures todrive it, but it s just two sets of cars. Didn't have the bottom side, notracks or anything. Had these weird shreads us not seen the movie, it wasoverall, I think, not a supergood design of a cool looking vehicle in themovie, and I think it could be a really cool set. But LEGO cannot drop the ballhere. Finally, from this second way from one hundred dollars with eighthundred and twenty nine pieces was the imperial at Holler, I remember I boughtthis set at Brickfar, two thousand and eighteen with my friend Austin. I wentto Brickfrey with him shut out to Asan, Sento, cold dude and a fan of the showlovey man. Now the figures included with this set were Kira. This virsionhad a fur coat in the same piece we saw...

...fairpiece we saw with the castle runFalcon. We also got Tandy Newton's character, very underutalized cacterfrom the movie vell, who had a cool afro piece, and we got John favroscharacter, O his voice character from the movie Rio to Rant the four armedMonky Lek character, who had a brand new arm piece that had his two Legoarms in the normal one, arms socket very cool armpiece that I helpe wemight see again en a future Lego figure, the rer do. Rain figure was really cool, another character. That was US criminally underutilized in that film. But I love the name of Rio de Rent because I'm pretty sure it's areference to Derandaran the popular ban from the nineteen eighties Britishrockband, because the band Deranda ran has a song called Rio. So Rio was oneof their songs and his last name is durrant like Kevin, do rent or thePokaman de rent and it's teran is to ranch just without the tea. So I thinkit's a reference Toenterran. I can't confirm that, but I'm pretty sure I'mright about that. Also includedg here were two of dridens enforcers who hadbrand new molds for their heads cool. Looking figures, however, drid in Vas,the main villain of Solo played by Paul Betney, who I thought was actually apretty cool villain in pub Ey gave a g performanceo. That movie is not in anysolo set and he was never made into a figure. I really wish Liki made a pollybag or something for him 'cause. We never got this character in Legoform, which is a big disappointment. Now the bills of Thas set where there are acouple bills. The first one, of course, is the alterrain Holler, the at Holler, which is a interesting looking vehicle. It does kind o look like an TAT head, but it is a spaceship of sorts and this vehicle was made in white and Brown. Ithink that Color White was an interesting choice. I might have likedit better if it were Madein like gray, but whiht wasn't too bad. The Brown wasdefinitely accurate and the vehicle has two arms and those arms can move up anddown and had features on their armssome claws, and it could pick up things andyou actually got a storage crate included with the set for it. To pickup now in the movie, it doesn't pick up storage crates, it picks up one of thecars full of quaxium from the Conveax, and you actually could do that. Withthis set. You could literally pick up the second car from the aforementioned, convey CSET and pick it up with the arms from this set, which is a reallycool feature to have kind of intertlining. Two sets like that. Nowin the movie they use like these ropes to pick it up. So actually it wasn'treally a very accurate peature to the way it's done in the film, but I stilllake the effort from Lego for that and the arms could also fold up and somelanding gears Goetd fold out and you could land this vehicle, which was coolas well. There was an ess little lockway on the bottom, where you couldfit figures. A HANCUBACA actually have a talking scene and the movie downthere, even though those figures weren't included in the set- and thisalso had a small cockpit, which the copit was pretty awful. You could onlyfit one when he figured on the inside and had pretty much no detail. L reallydropped the ball on that cockpit, but besides that it was a pretty cool setand a pretty good representation of that vehicle from the movie and finally, for so low sets. There's a couple of polly bags: Thatre Not Rerey, going totalk about here, but there were two polly bacgers that actually came withfigures. Theyre, like promotions, one was a castle, mind worker this workerthat had a very like banana ish, yellow, colored Alfit, pretty cool, lookingfigure, the other one. I think the cooler of these two was the Hansalamuttrooper. Now it did get the Mucrooper Han and the tyfiter set this. What the version of him learly covered in mud when he's thrown into the pitwith Chubaka and the figure was in light Tan and it had like mudribpingoff of it on his face and even his hair color was changed to look like it wascovered in mud. This is an awesome figure. I love that figure and it madefor a very cool poly back. SO THAT'S IT YO! Those are all Dsolo a star warstory. Lego sets. I would love to see...

...more stuff from this movie. I'd, let tosee driten Vas's yacht be made into a big set. I love to see a remake of theof the CONVEYAC, but better. However, I don't think we're ever going to see anymore sets from Solo, a star Rou story, which is definitely sad but just kindof the truth because of how badly this thing bond.
